The Wheat Ridge Center for Music and Arts (WRCMA) was founded in 2021 as a safe space where all artists and performers can meet to rehearse, give shows, collaborate, and create.
Our mission: We provide quality space for participation in all aspects of the performing and visual arts as well as community functions.

Thriving in the heart of Wheat Ridge, the Wheat Ridge Center for Music and Arts nurtures artists of all kinds. The community-oriented venue provides a home for growing and established ensembles and artists, allowing them space to practice their craft, collaborate, innovate and interact with the community. With space for musicians, visual artists, culinary artists, and the community, WRCMA offers space to make dreams a reality

Circus Arts
Join local Artist Alex Merchant in this fun workshop that will teach you the art of poi-spinning. While some poi spinners spin with fire, don’t worry, we’ll be using LED spinning technology to create light shows that are quite the thing to experience both as the performer and observer!

Jewelry
Learn the ins and outs of making wire-wrapped crystal jewelry. By learning a series of basic repeated patterns, artists will create special pieces that are exceptional.

Group Piano
Learning Piano can be a challenge! Come join our Piano Together group piano class! Participants will each have their own piano and will be instructed in a fun group setting with a live Teacher playing along. Follow the Teacher’s hands on the wall as you learn to play this very fulfilling instrument. No previous experience needed!

Drum Life
Travel around the world with this fun interactive drumming activity for everyone! Drum Life uses non-impact drumming and is aligned with fun playing patterns and enriching educational cross-sections of the diverse musical percussion languages and percussion instruments from around the globe. This Is an “easy to fill” class that provides exercise and accommodations for all physical needs. This is great for every age and can be thematic for any age!

Group Voice
Join this new fun ensemble that teaches us how to sing in a healthy way, while finding the pure joy in singing diverse songs by different artists from Elton John to Lady Gaga. All voices are welcome. No previous experience is necessary!

Stage Makeup
Many professional actors do their own stage makeup (auditions, shows, presentations, etc.). In our class, we’ll learn the basics, master contouring, and even learn how to create special FX using basic makeup kits (which will be provided). Special workshops include blood, gore, bones, zombies, faeries, witches, goblins, and more! Look out, Halloween!

Performance Hall
Our largest performance and rehearsal space, the Performance Hall seats 450 and can host a full symphony orchestra. A McManus Pipe Organ designed for the hall and a grand piano are included in this space.

Recital Hall
An intimate recital hall designed for soloists or small ensembles. A Kohler and Campbell 6' piano is available for use. This space seats approximately 100 guests in a recital setting, and seats 48 in round tables of 8.
